About Us

EquiMedic USA is the partnership company of mother and daughter team Sharon Baker and Delaney Selander of Minnesota. This team carries on a multi-generational family tradition of equine involvement that tracks across this great country since early family members came to the United States from Europe.

SharonCompany founder, Sharon Baker, has enjoyed a professional life time of involvement in the livestock production, and health fields. She was professionally involved with the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University, her alma mater, and eventually as the Marketing Director of a nationally based genetics company owned by a veterinary group. Baker has served the livestock and equine industries in Minnesota for eight years as a Governor appointee to the Minnesota State Board of Animal Health; the last two as it’s President.

Delaney
Delaney Selander is the mother of three little ones and wife to husband Brent, who operates a home based fabrication business. With a degree in Accounting, Delaney operates the Business Office for EquiMedic USA. She is responsible for the numbers, the company inventory, the web site shopping cart functioning and the day to day business transactions of EquiMedic USA. The final production and shipping of our orders is the responsibility of this branch of the family.

EQ KitsBaker conceived EquiMedic USA as a means of helping equine owners to be better prepared to care for their equine partners in times of emergency, sickness, injury, health challenges and wound care; no matter where they might be when that emergency might occur. EquiMedic USA offers best care kits to help the horse owner to quickly care for emergency needs until an equine practitioner can take over the primary care.

Dr. Norton
Truly a family effort, Baker’s brother, noted Equine Practitioner, Dr. Richard K. Norton, DVM, of Lincoln, NE, is also involved with EquiMedic USA as a technical consultant. Dr. Norton maintains an active equine practice in eastern Nebraska while staying involved with his three daughters livestock and horse projects at home.

Baker’s youngest siblings to partner and daughter, Delaney, are very active rodeo participants, keeping the entire family involved and on the rodeo road to collegiate and professional rodeos. Son Bryce Baker concluded his collegiate rodeo career with graduation from South Dakota State University, and maintains a growing professional rodeo career specializing in Steer Wrestling. He recently married his long time sweet heart, Danci Anderson, also an SDSU graduate and Miss Rodeo South Dakota 2003.

Youngest daughter, Kelsey Baker, recently graduated from Minnesota High School Rodeo, and is already a junior at South Dakota State University where she follows in her brother’s footsteps on the Jack Rabbit Collegiate Rodeo Team. At SDSU she is studying Agricultural Journalism, Ag Business and Animal Science as an honors student. She was the recipient of State and National High School Rodeo Scholarships, as well as the Minnesota Horse Council.

Ally on SpikeTruly a family endeavor, EquiMedic USA is built on the concept of your equine partner being part of your family component. Your horse’s first aid and emergency medical needs are important to you, and EquiMedic USA now makes it easy for you to be prepared for what ever might happen. Your First Aid Kit might become your best investment in prevention and preparedness, there by ensuring your costly investment in your equine colleague. You depend on him for either leisure or competition, make sure that he can depend on you in time of need too !
