Thank you for the great kits!  I own a Small Barn Kit, and I love the peace of mind it offers; everything I need is within reach during emergencies and more-or-less routine wound dressings.

My name is Becky Russell I live in Oroville, California. I was in a bad horse wreck recently and was caught without a first aid kit. After reviewing your products I know I will be getting one of your first aid kits. It’s still amazing to me that in our horse riding group of over eight, people no one had first aid kits. After getting home and to the pharmacy I realized that your first aid kits had better bandages and were cheaper than what I had to buy to treat myself!!! I now know that I will be safer and better prepared for unexpected accidents, thank you. I would hope that the sharing of my story no matter the embarrassment to myself it is worth letting others know that it is better to be safe than sorry, and also prepared for all types of accidents because they will happen. God Bless

Sincerely,
Becky Russell

I had my first aid kit stolen from my vehicle and replaced it with your barn kit. This is an outstanding kit. The kit I had carried was one my husband and I had put together over years with the horses and personal experiences in a public boarding facility. We had stocked a kit that could be used for both animals as well as people. The barn kit I purchased from EquiMedic is very, very close to the one we spent years building. Thank you so very much for the kit, and the peace of mind knowing it is there if I need it.

Attached, please find a picture of my daughter on her pony, "#1 Lil Dude". She really enjoys her horses, and has also come to rely on a first aid kit, both for her animals as well her friends.

Again, thank you for the peace of mind.

I currently own the Small Trailering Kit and have found it a great addition. We had the unfortunate opportunity to need to utilize it when my daughter's mare sustained an injury while fighting with another mare in the pasture recently. I will need to purchase replacement supplies now, but the kit had what we needed when we needed it to tend to the wound. Thanks.

Small Complete Barn Kit: Christmas Present for wife. It's real hard to find a first aid kit for horses that's worth a flip. I have seen yours and it's great!

My daughter has been a Pony Club member for the past two years. What a great organization. My daughter is a young member who has kept us very busy with rallies during the summer and is busy now getting ready to rate up and continue with club activities during the winter.

During the past two years I have seen: horses escape, get hurt, fall on riders, trailering accidents and several other situations. As a volunteer, I am very familiar with the wonderful equine first aid kits that the Pony Club requires for rallies.

I found a company over the summer that sells pre-made equine first aid kits.. I had to search for a kit because as a mom and a family of “normal” income, to buy every thing required for a rally first aid kit was very pricey. Also, I had to go to many different shops in order to get all that I needed. I gave up.

EquiMedic USA has a fantastic product at a great price. In a busy life and one where every dollar must be accounted for, this company puts together a very good product. I had put off ordering my EquiMedic kit for a while, and I know that I shouldn’t have; but am very excited now that it is finally ordered, and look forward to receiving it and having it on hand in case of emergency.

Sincerely,

Thank you for the order confirmation. I ordered the Trailering Kit for my daughter in Connecticut for her birthday. I hope she will be as excited about it as I was to get it for her.

Sherrill received the first aid kit and loved it. She was so surprised and very pleased.

I had a thoroughbred show horse for 24 years that I trailered myself all over the Northeast for 15 years so I know how important the right supplies would be.

Thank you for all of your efforts to get my gift to Sherrill in a timely fashion, with the message inside. I do hope she never has to use it. I will definitely recommend your company to any of my friends connected with horses.

Our team, sponsored by Lou Sterrett and Sermon on the Mount, took first place overall out of 36 teams at the 25th Annual Inter-County Horse Competition in Horseheads, NY. There were 180 Kids and 144 horses at the competition. The competition is 2 1/2 days long and requires that during the day the teams will operate independently of any parental involvement.

Thank goodness that we did not need to use our Equimedic First Aid Kit but everyone on the team knew that we had just about any situation covered. The Competition requires each team to have a minimum of firstaid supplies to cover basic injuries. We saw the Equimedic First Aid Kits and decided that this was what we wanted to have on site and ready for use if needed. Thanks again for getting our order to us on time. The team is already planning for next year's competition.

The "Complete Small Barn Kit" was a GOD send during Hurricane Katrina! When I received it last Christmas I never imagined that we would literally use everything in it to save my APHA gelding DocGoBlueBar. The day before the storm I found myself in the awful position of choosing which 2 of our 6 precious horses would escape with us to safety and which 4 would be left to face the terrible storm. My Husband stayed behind to ride out the storm and be at home to deal with the damage left. He called me the morning after the storm and the only thing I heard was "Come home quick! Blue is hurt bad!" and the phone when dead. You can imagine my horror - I loaded the truck with diesel, generator and chainsaw and headed South. It was a wild ride and took me all day - along the way I passed a badly damaged feed store that still had cool Penicillin and needles (thank GOD) and a vet who would not leave his home to see the horse but did give me a shot of Banamine and some Bute. When I got home what I saw made me throw up - a projectile had hit Blue in the shoulder and ripped him open 10 inches by 8 inches to the bone. I asked GOD for guidance and thanked him for my EquiMedic kit! I will send ya'll a picture of the before and after pictures as soon as I get them developed! You will be amazed - with the help of my friend Jennifer and my Husband Marvin and all the right products we were able to stop the bleeding, pack the wound and wrap him up like a package! We were all amazed that we had everything at our fingertips to handle this awful situation. In short, thanks to you all! Your product is all it promised to be and more. I will recommend it to everyone I know. After a week of 20cc shots BID and extensive cleaning and wrapping - we had a sore, unhappy but living horse! I was able to load Blue and take him to a vet on Friday for debreeding and was blessed to find a great vet North of Jackson, MS, Dr.Vice - who not only agreed to take the case but sent someone 200+ miles to pick up Blue. I am amazed the the prognosis is excellent! Blue will be sound again - much love and care will be needed over the next months but he will be o.k. Your product literally meant the difference in life and death for this precious horse. Just wanted to let ya'll know what a life saver your products meant to my family. In addition, I need to refill my bag and would love to add the bigger box to my barn as we rebuild - I am in hopes that ya'll may be giving a discount for customers affected by Hurricane Katrina. Please advise - I hate to ask but we really took a lick from the storm and our insurance is not fully covering our losses. If you can help us in any way we would really appreciate it - if not I will still find a way to get your products - I now know that it would be foolish to have animals on my farm without your products on hand! Much thanks!

EquiMedic worked with Mountain Valley Trail Riders to put together a comprehensive first aid kit for our club. They took into account our membership, type of activities and specific needs we had to have met including the cost. They compiled a list of supplies that would best meet our needs, and together they worked with us to increase or decrease quantities of specific items till we arrived at the perfect first aid kit for our club. Mountain Valley Trailer RidersOur club wanted a saddle bag with a removable cantle bag so that we could arrange our supplies to best suit our needs. (We can remove the cantle bad and leave it at camp in case for some reason a rider would not go out on the ride, they would still have some basic first aid supplies on hand. If everyone rides, the cantle bags are just attached to the saddle bags and it all goes on the ride. . It works great for the club.) EquiMedic worked to find us the type of saddle/cantle bags we wanted. All of this was accomplished via e-mails with Sharon Baker from EquiMedic. Our trust in EquiMedic has been earned through their hardwork and integrity. I would highly recommend their efforts to supply your club or event with a top notch first aid kit that will meet your needs. Please feel free to contact me via our president through our club’s website at mountainvalleytrailriders.com.

“EquiMedic USA has equipped me with premium medicines and advanced products to ensure the protection of my horse. Thank you for giving me this peace of mind."

“On March 30, 2005, on Interstate Highway 5, in the state of Washington, I witnessed a horse trailer and SUV that went out of control on wet roads, causing the trailer to flip with two race horses in it. Since I had my pickup, with my EquiMedic USA Complete Barn Kit with me, just behind the seat, I was able to help in the release of the two horses. I used most of the equipment in that bag that day,” relates Jacqueline Keller-McCormick of Brooks, Oregon. “The blood stop worked wonders, and with the other supplies I was able to stop the bleeding of one horse’s chest injury. A medic who had arrived on the scene worked on the owner, who only worried about her horses,” Keller-McCormick relates. “My EquiMedic Barn Kit was organized in such a manner that it was easy to get at all of the needed items. The one item in my kit that I thought I’d never have to use was the Eye Wash. Due to the smoke and soot caused by the accident, I was able to relieve and pain in one injured horse’s eyes. This kit could have made the difference in this filly’s successful recovery from her injuries. I would highly recommend these EquiMedic USA equine first aid kits to any one who travels with their horses, ” Keller-McCormick states. “These kits are very durable, washable, and have lots of compartments to keep your supplies in order for quick retrieval. EquiMedic USA makes products that can save lives,” Keller-McCormick contends.

EQUIMEDIC USA NOTE: Jacqueline Keller-McCormick had owned her equiMedic Complete Small Barn Kit for nearly one year when she came upon this exceptional need to use it in a life threatening highway emergency. Unfortunately, when evacuation experts were clearing the rescue scene, they accidently threw away her soft sided Barn Kit bag. An extremely thankful horse owner who had benefited from Keller-McCormick’s preparedness and thoughtfulness, eagerly replaced her benefactor’s used equine first aid supplies and the lost red soft sided bag through EquiMedic USA, shortly after the accident.

“The Emergency Equine Response Unit (EERU) serves not only as an equine ambulance, but also as a large animal rescue team,” explains Eric Thompson, EERU Operations Manager, near Kansas City. EERU responds to everything from a turned over trailer on the highway, to injured horses on trail rides. As a certified Equine Cruelty Investigator and national rescue responder, I have found EuiMedic USA products to serve our every need for both animals and people,” Thompson continues. “The EERU staff uses the Horn Bag Trail Riding Kit on trail rides, and as a first responder shoulder bag at rodeos. All of the EquiMedic bags are large enough to add small personal items like a bottle of water. Our medical staff also use the Barn kits as “crash” bags for multiple horse treatments. In using the EquiMedic kits and supplies we have treated everything chest lacerations to a splinter in the eye,” Thompson relates. “We have also found EquiMedic kits to be very useful in treating people related injuries. EERU staff has used the EquiMedic kits in first response to minor injuries such as a bee sting, to major problems like broken bones after a rider falls from a horse. The EquiMedic staff is very courteous, timely, and resourceful. We have been very pleased with their outstanding customer service and pioneering ideas in the large animal first aid field. We will continue using EquiMedic first aid kits in our rescue efforts, and would recommend EquiMedic USA to any one for field or home use,” concludes Eric Thompson.

“I cannot say enough great things about the EquiMedic first aid kits or their superb customer service. Having everything in one place makes treating day-to-day occurrences a breeze… whether they’re equine, canine or human. The kits have ample room to add your own items and still be able to find what you’re looking for with little effort, and they’re highly visible so you always know where it is. We have one EquiMedic kit in the barn and one in the car, and wouldn’t be caught without them!” Tara Livingston, Tack-A-Tack Pet & Equestrian Supply
